About the Role
Noor Bees Perth is seeking an experienced Apiarist / Queen Bee Breeding Specialist to manage commercial queen breeding, colony health, biosecurity and apiary operations across Western Australia.
Key Duties
Manage commercial apiaries and monitor colony health and productivity.
Conduct queen rearing, selective breeding and controlled mating programs.
Perform instrumental/artificial insemination where required.
Inspect hives and manage bee health, disease risks and biosecurity.
Maintain breeding, colony and production records.
Coordinate seasonal hive management, swarm prevention and honey production.
Maintain beekeeping equipment and relevant farm equipment.
Supervise and train apiary staff.
Travel to other apiary sites within Western Australia as required.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant commercial beekeeping or queen breeding experience.
Solid experience in queen rearing, selective breeding and colony management.
Instrumental insemination experience highly regarded.
Strong knowledge of bee health, pest surveillance and biosecurity.
Relevant beekeeping qualification or vocational training preferred.
Driver licence required or ability to obtain an Australian licence.
