This is a 5 month fixed term, part-time (0.15 FTE) position commencing Term 4, **** with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency.
Jerramungup District High School (DHS) is located in the wheat and sheep farming community of Jerramungup, 440km South East of Perth.
It is situated within the Fitzgerald Biosphere which is part of the acclaimed Fitzgerald National Park, located nearby to the east of Jerramungup.
Nearby to the south is the coastal community of Bremer Bay.
Students from five small towns and communities in the region attend Jerramungup District High School for their secondary education.
Jerramungup works very closely with these schools to ensure that the transition between the two is seamless.
A school bus service is available to transport students to the school from each community and farm in the region.
The school currently caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 10.
Other educational facilities in Jerramungup include a playgroup, day care centre and community resource centre.

The Role
As a Cleaner at Jerramungup DHS, your responsibilities will include carrying out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, bathroom cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal and other items of general cleaning.
In addition to this, you will also perform external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs,



other general cleaning and other such duties as required by the Cleaner in Charge.
The successful applicant will ideally be friendly, welcoming, and able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment.
You would ideally have positive attention to detail, be organised and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices.
