The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia.

About the role
In this rewarding role, you will complete Part B assessments and work alongside kinship carers and families to support children and young people as they transition into care.
You will help ensure carers have the guidance, resources and support they need to create safe, nurturing and culturally connected homes where children can thrive.
About You
You are passionate about supporting Aboriginal children, young people and their carers to feel safe, connected and supported.
You build strong relationships with families, carers and community, provide practical guidance and cultural support, and help children maintain important connections to family, culture and Country.
You are confident working directly with children and carers, preparing assessments and reports, maintaining accurate records, and using case management systems to ensure the best outcomes for children in kinship care.
Desirable:
Certificate, Diploma or Degree qualification in Community Services, Social Worker and/or substantial experience in these fields is desirable.




Requirements:
Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
