Sante Recruitment is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer – Anaesthetist to join the Department of Anaesthesia in Newcastle on a casual basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist anaesthetist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary environment and provide high-quality anaesthetic care across a major healthcare service supporting the Hunter New England community.
The Opportunity
The Visiting Medical Officer will work closely with the surgical multidisciplinary team, providing safe, efficient and high-quality anaesthetic care to patients at Calvary Mater Newcastle.

Key responsibilities include:
Providing specialist anaesthetic services to patients
Working collaboratively with surgeons, medical staff, nursing and allied health professionals
Ensuring efficient and effective patient management
Participating in clinical education and teaching
Contributing to quality improvement activities
Maintaining professional standards and continuing professional development
Supporting a culture of patient safety and compassionate care

About You The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate
A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA
Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)
Demonstrated capacity for efficient and effective patient management
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across medicine, nursing and allied health
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement
Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
