We are Zenith are working closely with our client who are based in the North-East and are looking to recruit an Electrician on a permanent basis.
The Electrician will report directly to the Electrical Supervisor and work closely with them to organise workloads within their designated area.
The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of electrical systems and be responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, fault-finding and diagnostic activities.
This includes installing and maintaining electrical components, wiring and control systems while adhering to all relevant health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Report to the Electrical Supervisor regarding workload planning and progress within the assigned area.
Install, maintain and test electrical components, wiring and control systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including fault-finding, rewiring and system testing.
Work closely with the Procurement and Design teams to ensure all materials and documentation are available to meet production schedules.
Communicate with Inspection to ensure work is completed to the required quality standards.
Take responsibility for wiring lights, isolators, invertors control panels, fans, electric coils etc




Liaise with Inspection regarding non-conformances, rework activities and corrective actions.
Support adherence to company processes, procedures and quality standards.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
Skills & Experience – Essential
Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices and health & safety requirements.
Fully time-served with 18th Edition
Experience in fault-finding, diagnostics and electrical maintenance.
Good organisational and time management skills.
IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Robust communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.
Qualifications
Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate.
**** Preferred but not essential
HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering desirable but not essential
Please note, this is not a Site Electrician's vacancy.
It will be based within a Manufacturing Facility working on a Production Shop Floor Monday to Friday with an early finish every Friday.
