Finance Partner (Capital Portfolio)
Full-time, Fixed Term through to November ****. Base salary will be in the range $106,709 - $116,199 + 17% super (HEW Level 7). Based at our St Lucia campus.
About This Opportunity
Join a collaborative, inclusive and purpose-driven finance team that plays a critical role in shaping the University's future infrastructure investment portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Finance, the IFG Finance Partner (Capital Portfolio) Finance Partner provides high-quality financial management, governance and business partnering support across the University's capital projects portfolio. Working closely with Project Managers, the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and finance stakeholders, you will help create meaningful change by delivering insightful financial advice, maintaining robust governance practices, and supporting informed decision-making across major infrastructure initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Providing finance business partnering support and expert financial advice across the capital portfolio, partnering with Project Managers, PMO representatives and key finance stakeholders.
Delivering portfolio financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, analysis and executive commentary to support strategic decision-making and successful project delivery.
Managing project financial structures, funding allocations, chartstrings, compliance activities and governance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Driving continuous improvement across financial governance, reporting processes, systems, controls, data integrity and stakeholder service delivery.
About You
Degree qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of extensive experience and relevant training.
Demonstrated experience in accounting, financial analysis and reporting within a complex organisational setting.
Proven experience managing and delivering project-based accounting services, including budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
Experience working in a professional financial advisory and/or service delivery function supporting diverse stakeholder groups and governance frameworks.
Strong ability to establish productive working relationships and provide trusted financial advice to stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills,



with the ability to influence outcomes and support sound decision-making.
Demonstrated capability to provide strategically aligned operational financial solutions that contribute to organisational objectives and successful project outcomes.
Progress towards, or membership of, a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or equivalent.
