We're seeking an experienced
Principal Spatial Administrator
to take a lead role in managing, optimising and continuously improving an enterprise GIS environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior GIS professional who enjoys working across
spatial technology, data, systems administration and stakeholder engagement
, and wants to have a tangible impact through the use of geospatial information.
The Opportunity
In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of enterprise GIS and spatial data, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, high-performing and fit for purpose.
You'll work across:
Enterprise GIS platforms, spatial databases and web mapping solutions
GIS platform configuration, maintenance and optimisation
Spatial data integrity, quality, standards and metadata
System performance, security, backups and troubleshooting
Advanced spatial analysis, modelling and data visualisation
Continuous improvement and implementation of GIS enhancements
Providing expert technical advice and acting as an escalation point
Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective spatial solutions
You'll also have the opportunity to stay across
emerging geospatial technologies, methodologies and industry trends
, helping shape the ongoing evolution of GIS services.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with strong technical expertise and a genuine passion for spatial technology,
including:
Strong experience managing
GIS, databases and web delivery systems
Expert knowledge of the
ESRI ArcGIS Platform
, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
Solid experience with
FME
Practical experience with GIS data modelling and scripting/programming, particularly
Python, SQL and/or Arcade
Robust spatial analysis, problem-solving and systems administration capability
Excellent understanding of cartography, spatial analysis and data visualisation
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
A relevant degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
