Senior CA Datacom DBA | Migration Support Bring your specialist CA Datacom expertise to a migration and support engagement for a major banking organisation in New Zealand.
We're looking for an experienced CA Datacom Database Administrator who can take ownership, work independently and bring sound technical judgement to a complex mainframe environment.
This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys solving database challenges and has the depth of experience to deliver with limited day-to-day technical support.
You'll contribute to the Datacom migration while supporting the reliability, performance and ongoing operation of the database setting.
Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the planning, preparation and execution of database migration activities.
Providing hands-on CA Datacom administration and troubleshooting.
Investigating database performance issues and implementing improvements.
Supporting database maintenance, backup and recovery activities.




Validating changes and documenting procedures to support ongoing operations.
Communicating technical issues, risks and progress clearly to the wider team.
To be successful, you'll bring: ***** years' experience as a CA Datacom DBA.
Strong practical knowledge of Datacom administration within IBM mainframe environments.
The ability to investigate and resolve complex issues independently.
A disciplined approach to database stability, data integrity and change.
Clear communication skills and confidence taking responsibility for your work.
Previous experience supporting Datacom migrations or upgrades would be valuable.
