We are a Sydney-based town planning and heritage consultancy seeking a motivated Graduate to join our team in Surry Hills on a casual basis, working approximately four days per week.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to develop practical experience across a diverse range of development and planning projects.
The role will involve working directly with experienced planners and assisting with development applications, planning assessments, research and preparation of planning documentation.
Applicants must hold a university degree in Town Planning or a related field, such as urban and regional planning, geography, urban design, environmental planning or a similar discipline.
Experience or knowledge of the Queensland planning system will be highly regarded, as the practice undertakes projects in both Recent South Wales and Queensland.

Has strong written English and report-writing skills.
Has an interest in statutory planning and development assessment.Is confident undertaking research and interpreting planning controls.
Has good attention to detail and organisational skills.
Is comfortable working both independently and as part of a small professional team.
Has good communication and interpersonal skills.Is proficient with standard Microsoft Office applications.
Has Australian working rights.
Previous professional town planning experience is not essential, as this is a graduate-level position.
However, previous experience in a planning, architecture, development, local government or related environment would be advantageous.
Knowledge or experience of the Queensland planning system, including Brisbane City Plan ****, will be considered an advantage.
