About the Role We're looking for an experienced Project Manager, Onboarding Transitions to lead the successful onboarding of new Fund Administration and Custody clients.
This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end implementation journey, transforming agreed solutions into seamless operational outcomes.
This includes documentation of the agreed client operating model, data reconciliation and migration to our systems, custody asset migration between the incumbent and our custodian or sub-custodian, post implementation hypercare, and holistic project management of the clients transition to Automic.
Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders, you'll oversee project delivery from discovery and planning through to implementation, cutover, hypercare and transition into business-as-usual operations.
You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest levels of governance, accuracy and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Include Lead complex client onboarding and implementation projects from initiation through to handover into BAU teams, covering Fund Administration and Custody services.
Translate contracted scope and solution design into detailed project plans, including milestones, resources, dependencies, risks and success measures.
Pro-actively identify areas of risk where aspects of the clients funds need additional support or management to ensure seamless transition and setup for seamless ongoing delivery.
Manage project governance, reporting, RAID logs, stakeholder communications and issue escalation.
Coordinate data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, conversion, reconciliation and client sign-off processes.
Oversee platform configuration, integrations, testing and defect management to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
Drive operational readiness across processes, controls, access management, training and regulatory reporting requirements.
Plan and manage cutover and hypercare activities, including go-live readiness, contingency planning and post-implementation support.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the onboarding lifecycle, managing expectations and fostering strong relationships.
Identify lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery frameworks and client experience.
About You You'll bring: Proven success delivering complex client onboarding, implementation, migration or transition projects within financial services.
Strong understanding of Fund Administration, including fund accounting, registry, custody, middle office, tax and reporting services.
Demonstrated expertise in project planning, governance, risk management, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Hands-on experience coordinating data migration, reconciliation, system configuration, testing and operational readiness activities.
This includes data reconciliation between take on balances, parallel run activities, and cutover.
Solid client-facing communication skills with sound commercial judgement and problem-solving capabilities.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities,
and pro-active risk awareness with escalation of key items to senior leaders A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience.
Qualifications in Accounting are beneficial but not strictly required.
Custody and Accounting experience highly preferred.
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or other project management certification (highly regarded).
5+ years of project delivery experience, ideally within Fund Administration, investment operations or financial services.
Experience working with transitions, fund administration platforms, global custodians, data analysis skills and advanced Excel skill is highly advantageous.
