Lead the strategic growth of major gifts, corporate partnerships and bequests for Cystic Fibrosis WA Work closely with the CEO, Board and internal teams to develop and strengthen philanthropic opportunities Full-time, with flexibility to consider part time | Based in Nedlands with a hybrid working arrangement Impact of the organisation Cystic Fibrosis WA (CFWA) supports people and families living with cystic fibrosis across Western Australia.
The organisation works to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of people affected by cystic fibrosis through support, advocacy, education and community-focused initiatives.
Philanthropy plays an important role in enabling CFWA to deliver its programs and continue supporting the cystic fibrosis community.
The organisation has an established fundraising program spanning major gifts, corporate partnerships, bequests, trusts foundations and community fundraising.
The Impact you will have in this role Reporting directly to the CEO, the Philanthropy Manager will take ownership of a diverse philanthropy portfolio across major donors, corporate partnerships, gift in wills and trusts foundations, with a focus on strengthening existing relationships, developing new opportunities and growing sustainable philanthropic income.
This is a hands-on relationship fundraising role, with responsibility for stewarding existing supporters while identifying and developing new philanthropic opportunities.
You will manage relationships with major donors who have contributed $5,000+, with a focus on deepening their engagement and increasing their commitment over time.
You will also oversee CFWA's gift in wills program and trusts foundations portfolio; managing relationships with donors and funders.
Corporate partnerships are another key component of the role, with responsibility for stewarding existing partners, identifying new opportunities and supporting initiatives including workplace giving and giving day.
The role will also have the opportunity to develop new philanthropy initiatives, including a giving circle and donor impact events,



while building a strong philanthropy pipeline and applying move management strategies to grow sustainable income.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the annual philanthropy strategy, including financial and non-financial goals.
Manage and grow the major donor portfolio, stewarding existing donors and increasing their engagement and giving over time.
Build and manage the philanthropy pipeline, using prospect identification, qualification and move management strategies to increase income.
Oversee CFWA's gift in wills program, including stewardship of existing bequestors and acquisition of new supporters.
Manage the trusts foundations program, including applications, relationships, reporting and acquittals.
Steward existing corporate partnerships and identify new opportunities to grow corporate philanthropy.
Secure Giving Day matchers and support the Fundraising Manager with the Matched Giving Day campaign.
Grow the Breathe Regatta event through new participants, partnerships and philanthropic opportunities.
Develop a giving circle and organise regular donor impact events.
Develop tailored proposals, funding opportunities and engagement strategies for donors, corporates and foundations.
Work closely with the CEO and Board to leverage senior relationships, support donor cultivation and strengthen long-term philanthropic relationships and succession.
Develop and enhance impact reporting for key donors and stakeholders.
Monitor and report on the performance of philanthropy programs, including KPIs, income and pipeline activity.
Skills Experience Previous strategic relationship fundraising experience, ideally across major gifts or corporate partnerships.
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with donors,



corporate partners and/or philanthropic funders.
High level communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
A demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, leverage networks and develop relationships to achieve fundraising outcomes.
Experience developing proposals, funding opportunities and tailored donor communications.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple portfolios, priorities and deadlines.
Outcome-focused, proactive and adaptable, with the initiative to identify and pursue new opportunities.
Collaborative approach and demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and internal teams.
A genuine passion for improving the lives of people and families living with cystic fibrosis, and a strong commitment to advancing CFWA's mission.
