New Graduate Speech Pathologist
24-Month Program

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Speech Pathology Department is seeking passionate and motivated new graduate Speech Pathologists to join our award-winning team in a unique 24-month graduate program designed to support your transition from student to confident clinician.

You will gain experience across a variety of acute and subacute settings, working with patients presenting with complex communication and swallowing disorders. Graduates are exposed to specialist services and multidisciplinary care pathways not commonly available in traditional graduate roles.
Cutting-edge Transdisciplinary Preceptorship Program
At RMH, all new graduate Speech Pathologists participate in our innovative Transdisciplinary Preceptorship Program.
This unique model brings together new graduates from Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy,



Social Work and other allied health professions to learn, reflect and grow together.
Through facilitated group learning, peer support, case discussions and guided professional reflection, the program helps graduates to:
Build confidence in clinical decision-making
Develop skills for working effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Enhance communication and leadership capabilities
Strengthen resilience and wellbeing in the transition to skilled practice
Gain a broader understanding of person-centred healthcare delivery
The program complements profession-specific supervision and mentoring, providing a rich and supportive environment to foster both clinical and professional development.

About You
A recent or soon-to-be graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology program with less than 6 months experience
