Support patients across a range of therapy and rehabilitation activities
Contribute to improving patients' functional independence and participation
Build positive relationships with patients, families, carers and colleagues
Work across both clinical and administrative activities while managing competing priorities
What you'll be doing
As an Allied Health Assistant - Physiotherapy, you will provide practical assistance to patients and support physiotherapists in delivering effective therapy programs under appropriate clinical supervision.
Assist with individual and group exercise, therapy and patient education programs




Support patients to participate in activities that maximise their functional independence
Observe and document patient attendance, presentation and therapy outcomes accurately
Communicate patient progress, changes and relevant information to the supervising Allied Health Professional
Organise and prioritise your workload while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance/relevant qualification or willingness to undertake this training includes willingness to undertake additional discipline competencies.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated previous experience working in a health environment.
Demonstrated ability to work as a contributing member of the allied health team.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload delegated by supervising AHP's, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice, seeking assistance as required.
Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.




Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles and how it applies to the duties of the position.
Demonstrated ability to work within a healthcare service or professional care giving capacity, in a positive manner enhancing the client's ability to achieve positive outcomes and personal goals.
