Two positions are currently available for permanent full time appointment at 76 hours per fortnight.
About The Opportunity
Provides advanced community mental health services to clients of the Kimberley Mental Health and Drug Service which are based on best practice. Provides a service which is culturally secure and takes into account the emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing of clients. Conducts Mental Health and/or Drug and Alcohol (AOD) Triage, acute initial assessments, Risk Assessments crisis intervention, care management planning and implementation of care plan, and referral services to clients and their carer/s.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will
Demonstrated advanced community mental health nursing expertise, including mental health assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and recovery-focused practice for clients with complex mental health needs.
Extensive experience in community-based mental health services, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality client care.
Strong understanding and application of recovery-oriented and culturally secure care, particularly when working with Aboriginal consumers, families, carers, and communities.
Highly developed communication, consultation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across health services, government and non-government agencies, and community partners.
Comprehensive knowledge of psychotropic medications and the WA Mental Health Act ****, with demonstrated ability to safely administer medications and apply relevant legislative requirements in clinical practice.
