Base Salary Academic Level B $132,533 - $157,381 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Sleep and Neuropsychology to join a multidisciplinary research team focused on sleep, ageing and cognitive health. This position will work under guidance of Professor Sharon Naismith play a key role in coordinating and delivering research projects investigating sleep and ageing in older adults at risk of dementia.
Working within a team-oriented research environment, you will contribute to high-quality research outcomes, support project delivery, engage with participants and stakeholders, and help advance evidence-based approaches to understanding the relationship between sleep, neuropsychology and healthy ageing.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
coordinate research projects focused on sleep, ageing and dementia risk in older adults
design, implement and manage research activities in accordance with approved protocols
collect, analyse and interpret quantitative and/or clinical research data
contribute to the preparation of research publications, reports and presentations
support participant recruitment, assessment and retention activities
collaborate with academic, clinical and industry partners as required




assist with research ethics, governance and regulatory compliance requirements
contribute to grant applications and other research funding initiatives.

PhD in Psychology, Neuropsychology, Neuroscience, Sleep Science or a closely related discipline
demonstrated experience conducting research in sleep, ageing, cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology or dementia-related fields
experience coordinating complex research projects and managing multiple priorities
strong quantitative data analysis skills and experience with relevant statistical software
evidence of research excellence through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
experience working with older adult populations and/or clinical research participants is desirable
demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary research teams
excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
