QBuild has established the Build to Enable Program (B2E) to transition to a contemporary ecosystem of business solutions, deliver a contemporary technology platform and enable capability uplift more efficient, simplified & customer-centric processes. As part of this transformative journey, QBuild is offering an exciting temporary opportunity for a Principal Business Analyst to lead the definition and delivery of complex business requirements and future state processes through the Build to Enable Program.
QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.

About The Role
Key responsibilities include
Lead stakeholder engagement across all levels, including executives and operational teams, to identify, refine, and prioritise complex business requirements.
Define and document future-state business processes, including workflows, business rules, and use cases, with a focus on asset maintenance and capital works.
Conduct comprehensive gap analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations for process and system improvements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including delivery teams, service providers, the Product Owner, Iteration Manager, and Program Director to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and delivery objectives.
Oversee and manage data migration, cleansing, validation, and ensure alignment with program outcomes and business objectives.
Develop and implement testing strategies, test cases, and provide support to subject matter experts during testing.
Partner with service providers to design, configure and implement the EAM or PPM solution, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
Contribute to the development of training materials and user documentation to support solution adoption and change management initiatives.
Provide expert advice and thought leadership on business analysis practices and support continuous improvement.
Mentor and guide team members fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and high performance.
