Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse within the Logan Hospital Emergency Department Mental Health Assessment Team, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership to support high-quality, person-centred care for consumers experiencing acute mental health concerns.
- Provide advanced assessment, clinical care, problem-solving and care coordination for consumers with complex mental health needs.
- Provide clinical leadership, expert advice and support to the multidisciplinary team, including guidance around risk management and the Mental Health Act 2016.
- Contribute to education, mentoring, quality improvement, research and clinical practice initiatives that support safe and contemporary mental health care.
- Work autonomously while supporting the coordination of the service and contributing to a positive, collaborative and recovery-focused team environment.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced mental health nurse who brings strong clinical expertise, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary mental health and/or addiction nursing practice.
- Strong clinical leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience providing comprehensive assessment, care planning, risk management and evidence-based interventions for consumers with complex mental health needs.
- A commitment to professional development, education, quality improvement and reflective practice,
with a relevant postgraduate qualification or current enrolment highly desirable.
