What you'll do

As the Senior Applications Specialist, you will lead and coordinate application changes in line with the strategic roadmap and at the direction of the Application Manager, ensuring initiatives are delivered on schedule and with minimal impact to clients. You will provide effective change, capacity, risk and continuity management using best practice service delivery principles and the ITIL framework. In this role, you will oversee the implementation of policies, processes and standards to support compliance, optimise enterprise service levels, and ensure the effective technical configuration of enterprise infrastructure. You will build and maintain productive relationships with third-party service providers, while leading, managing and mentoring a team responsible for the integrated operation of complex enterprise information systems to achieve defined service levels. Additionally, you will actively identify, manage and report risks relevant to your work and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / change / release management. (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 5, CHMG Level 5, RELM Level 5)
- Demonstrated expert level skills and experience in managing clinical applications and its integration with business requirements and technical environment in a large and complex service delivery environment. In particular expert skills in the ieMR Medications, Anaesthesia and PowerTrials stream and the Queensland Health Statewide Automated Dispensing Cabinet Service
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse activities and priorities across organisational boundaries to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT environment. Experience in negotiating and managing service level agreements with emphasis on a strong customer focus. (SFIA: SLMO Level 5)
- Well-developed interpersonal,



written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people including senior business and technical stakeholders to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
- Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor a team of technical specialists. (NHS: Leading change through people)
- Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, other technical specialists, application specialists, vendors and end users (NHS: Collaborative Working)
- Ability to lead complex technical projects, offer technical support and advice to consumers.
