Parts Interpreter - Porsche Centre Melbourne

An exciting full-time chance has become available for a passionate and customer-focused Parts Interpreter to join the team at Porsche Centre Melbourne, located in the vibrant inner-city suburb of Collingwood.

About the Role

As a Parts Interpreter, you will play a vital role in supporting our workshop, trade, wholesale and retail customers by accurately identifying, sourcing and supplying genuine Porsche parts. Reporting directly to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maximising parts sales opportunities, maintaining strong inventory control practices, and ensuring timely parts supply in accordance with manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately identify, interpret, source and supply genuine Porsche parts to workshop, trade, wholesale and retail customers
- Respond promptly and professionally to telephone, email and counter enquiries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and genuine parts sales
- Monitor customer backorders and provide regular updates to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Support workshop operations through the timely supply of parts and technical information
- Maximise sales opportunities through effective up-selling and cross-selling of parts, accessories, oils and associated products
- Process customer orders, invoices, payments and credit authorisations accurately and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management, stock control,



stocktakes and freight coordination
- Maintain merchandising displays to a high standard and ensure products are appropriately stocked
- Manage parts warranty claims, returns and administration requirements
- Participate in manufacturer trade programs and promotional activities
- Achieve allocated performance metrics and contribute to departmental KPI outcomes
- Support a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in a Parts Interpreter, Parts Advisor or Automotive Service role
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, components and repair procedures
- Ability to read and interpret parts catalogues, technical bulletins and support literature
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven ability to build strong, long-term customer relationships
- Strong sales aptitude with the ability to identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Experience using dealership management systems and parts cataloguing software is highly regarded
- A proactive,
