Tweed Heads District Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Consultation Liaison team in Tweed, NSW. This is a contract position running for approximately 11 weeks, with a start date as soon as possible and an end date of 5 December 2026. The role offers an opportunity to deliver specialist mental health nursing support to young people in a consultation liaison capacity, working within a dedicated CAMHS team.

- Specialist child and adolescent mental health nursing in a consultation liaison setting
- Contract position, approximately 11 weeks, starting ASAP
- Based at Tweed Heads District Hospital, close to the Gold Coast and Queensland border

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA




- Demonstrated experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
- Robust clinical assessment and communication skills, particularly with young people and families
- Current Violence Prevention and Management (VPM) competency or willingness to obtain it
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a consultation liaison model

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialist experience in child and adolescent mental health nursing
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
