Ballina District Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Rehabilitation team on a contract basis. This is a fixed-term opportunity running from 6 September to 25 October 2026, based in Ballina, NSW. The role offers the chance to deliver patient recovery and rehabilitation care in a supportive medical nursing environment, working alongside a dedicated clinical team in this coastal Northern Rivers community.

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA




- Demonstrated medical nursing experience in acute or post-acute care settings
- Solid rehabilitation nursing background, with experience supporting patient recovery pathways
- Emergency nursing knowledge and the ability to respond effectively in time-critical situations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification, with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated competency in rehabilitation nursing
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
