This role provides strategic leadership, governance, and long-term operational management of Optus's Field Services capability within the shared OSS environment, serving as the senior technical authority responsible for defining the Field Services strategy, managing key vendor partnerships, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across workforce management, scheduling, dispatch, and field operations. It also drives cross-functional technical leadership, operational frameworks, capability roadmaps, and governance models to ensure Field Services platforms continue to evolve and support the changing needs of network operations, engineering teams, and senior business stakeholders.

Your day to day will consist of

Provide strategic leadership and governance for Optus's Field Services platforms, ensuring successful delivery, quality outcomes, budget performance, and stakeholder alignment across engineering, operations, and vendor teams.

Own the Field Services capability roadmap, driving platform evolution, technology innovation, and investment decisions that support network strategy and operational transformation objectives.

Manage senior vendor relationships, commercial governance, contract performance, and technology partnerships to maximise value, innovation, and service outcomes.

Establish integration standards, operational assurance frameworks,



and data governance models to ensure seamless connectivity across Field Services, OSS, and BSS ecosystems.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives by translating field operations insights into strategic recommendations that enhance service delivery, workforce productivity, and operational efficiency.

Develop and mentor a high-performing team while influencing senior stakeholders and executives, positioning Field Services as a key enabler of Optus's network and operational transformation strategy.

What makes you perfect for the role

Deep expertise in Field Services Management platforms, including work order management, scheduling, technician dispatch, mobility solutions, and platform governance.

Strong knowledge of field workforce management, operational enablement, SLA governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across field operations.

Proven experience leading large-scale Field Services platform deployments, managing cross-functional teams, program risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.

Advanced understanding of OSS integration, data strategy, and ecosystem connectivity, including network inventory, CMDB, fault management, and data quality governance.

Solid analytical capability to develop KPI frameworks, executive reporting, performance dashboards, and data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making.

Demonstrated leadership in vendor management, commercial governance, stakeholder influence, team development, and driving operational transformation; supported by a relevant Engineering/Telecommunications degree,



industry certifications, and 8-12 years' experience in OSS, systems engineering, or related technology domains.
