We are currently seeking an Estimator to join our busy team in Perth to assist our Business Development Manager and our Civil and Marine teams with tenders. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will assist with the development and implementation of consistent, high quality estimating processes.

Responsibilities will include:

- Complete the end-to-end estimating process for tenders,

- Analyse and identify the inherent risk and opportunities that each tender present,

- Following-up on submitted tenders and budgets with potential clients,

- Assist in examining risk profile and provide cost impact in Tender Review Process,

- Assist with submission, quotations and tenders which have received Tender Review approval,

- Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors and prepare documentation changes and cost estimates,

- Assist in improving tendering processes and submission content that will enhance future success,

- Develop total project cost summaries, estimate documents, exclusions and price schedules,

- Prepare bid summaries including Expressions of Interests, budget prices and tenders,

- Maintain a good understanding of current market prices to ensure accurate estimating,





- Evaluate risk on each project and articulate the critical issues and project risks in the Tender Review Process,

- Prepare estimates for variations or claims for on-going projects,

- Evaluate tender specifications and drawings,

- Assist in developing turnover forecasts and work volume planning,

- Develop and provide reporting on tendering success rate and profitability to assist planning,

- Develop networks and relationships to assist in tracking industry trends and identifying future tender opportunities.

Position requirements:

- To be the successful candidate, you will need to possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:

- Hold tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or a related discipline,

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word,

- Competency in the use of Microsoft Project,

- Demonstrated experience using Expert Estimation,

- Experience with Pronto or similar ERP is desired though not essential,

- Demonstrated practical experience within a construction or mining environment,

- Detailed understanding of construction methods and understanding of roles within construction team,

- Ability to interpret specifications and standards and assess their impact on project costs,

- Ability to program and sequence works in a practical and efficient manner.
