An established and growing construction business is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team following the approaching retirement of the current long-standing Bookkeeper. This is a hands-on, all-round bookkeeping role managing day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities using MYOB.

About the Role
Working closely with the Director, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, maintaining compliance obligations, and supporting the smooth running of the business. A comprehensive handover of at least two weeks will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping functions across multiple entities
- Process accounts payable, including entering creditor invoices into MYOB
- Manage bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Process and maintain weekly payroll
- Prepare BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax and WorkCover returns
- Manage superannuation and apprenticeship-related compliance requirements
- Assist with accounts receivable and general financial administration
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Liaise with external accountants, contractors and stakeholders as required




- Support the Director with financial reporting and project-related administration
- Retention trust account experience ideal

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in a Bookkeeper or Accounts role
- Solid working knowledge of MYOB
- Experience preparing BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax and WorkCover returns
- Payroll processing experience
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach
