About us

We’re a rapidly scaling, not-for-profit disability support provider that believes in positively transforming the lives of people with disability. In doing so, we aim to create the highest quality agency we can, ideally reshaping the sector as a whole.

This means we often do things differently. Since we began in 2015, we’ve made it our mission to examine every part of what a support provider does – from how we structure our teams, to how we recruit and roster, to how we ensure the highest quality support, to how technology acts as an enabler for all that we do.

Our clients tell us they notice this difference, and for many it’s had a profound impact on their lives. Supporting more than 250 clients across metropolitan and regional Victoria and only continuing to grow, we want the people who join us to also believe disability support should enable a life of independence and dignity

To do a great job, you’ll need:

- Good judgement and common sense, with strong listening skills, a willingness to learn, and a genuine commitment to our values.
- Confidence and resilience to navigate day-to-day challenges calmly, thoughtfully and respectfully.
- Flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts, including sleepovers, active nights, daytime support and community access, as well as evening in-home support and household duties. You’ll also need to be committed to ongoing shifts more than twice a week.
- Patience, empathy and persistence, with a genuine willingness to invest the time and energy needed to build a strong rapport and trusting relationship with the client.
- Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disability to live fulfilling, independent and meaningful lives.
- A strong commitment to a care-team approach, working collaboratively with families and professionals and following guidance to support the client’s goals,

for example, assisting with a regular physiotherapy program.
- Full drivers licence and be willing and comfortable with driving clients vehicle.
- Experience with personal care (showering and dressing) and assistance with domestic duties.
- Experience with medication management, catheter care, peg feeding, hoisting and bowel care would be an advantage but not essential.

**Please note - when you apply you will receive an email asking you for some further details - please look out for it!

As part of our recruitment process, certain checks will be undertaken with your permission, including an NDIS Worker Screening Check that you must have before you can start work.
We encourage all of our staff to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and current recommendations about vaccination can be found on ATAGI website.

A word about diversity and inclusion

At InLife, diversity and inclusion is part of our DNA. We celebrate the amazing differences we all bring to our work and we actively ensure that everyone feels safe and supported in our workplaces.

We welcome and encourage applications from everyone and our hiring decisions will never be based on things such as your gender identity, disability, age, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or cultural background - because they simply aren’t relevant to doing an awesome job (and you are protected from this kind of discrimination under Australian law)

We also know that we continue to learn more about inclusion every day, so if there is something you think we could do differently to make InLife a place you could picture yourself working, we’re all ears.
