ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality & Safety Coordinator to join our team based in Alexandria, NSW.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of Schindler's Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System. You will work closely with operational teams across Engineering, Installation and Service operations to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements and company procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional who enjoys process improvement, compliance, stakeholder engagement and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Degree qualifications in Engineering, Quality Management, Safety Compliance or a related discipline preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a quality, compliance or safety-related role
- Experience within the lift industry, construction, manufacturing or a related technical environment highly regarded
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Robust communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyse information, identify trends and drive process improvements
- Experience coordinating audits, corrective actions and compliance activities
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to process and communicate technical information effectively
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Review and update quality documentation with process owners
- Coordinate internal audits and compliance activities
- Manage NCR and corrective action processes
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure alignment between quality and safety processes
- Communicate quality and compliance outcomes with key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and customer experience
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support quality, safety and compliance objectives
- Promote a culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement across the business
