We’re not a big chain optical store. As an independent practice, we set the rules. We have high standards, good laughs, and zero dramas. Vision Camberwell is one of Australia's leading independent practices for specialty contact lenses and complex optometry care. Most of our care is centred around keratoconus, scleral lenses, orthokeratology, myopia management, post graft care and complex optical dispensing. We manage many patients referred by ophthalmologists and optometrists after having experienced a history of unsatisfactory eye care, vision and results. We take this responsibility seriously, triaging their appointments and needs with maturity and care to ensure they receive unrivalled solutions, every step of the way, at Vision Camberwell Optometrists.

The role.

You're one of a tight knit team, and highly organised when offering senior dispensing solutions and triaging patients who have complicated optical histories and require customised care. You don’t come to work to execute the day, you organise it. Workflow, sales, stock handling, merchandising, triaging complex enquiries, booking recalls, communicating long-term optical care plans with clarity and careful consideration,



applying sound technical expertise to individual dispensing solutions. You coordinate supplier credits, answer phones, and welcome walk-ins, and your day runs smoothly because you manage yourself as a natural leader and hold your team to the same service standards you deliver yourself. You dispense at a high technical level, and you bring the rest of the team up with you.

You'll have real autonomy once you’ve demonstrated your technical skills, numbers and standards match those our practitioners provide. You’ll thrive in a team where all members are crucial in offering unrivalled solutions in eye care and eye wear, to customers across Melbourne, Australia and abroad, and reap the rewards of being respected for the individual value you bring to the team.

Who we want.

- Someone who understands how an independently owned business grows. Margins, not just turnover. Repeat customers and referrals, not just the sale in front of you.

- Driven to earn well through performance, without ever compromising the quality of service you offer.

- Comfortable being coached and correcting course.



We invest heavily in people who are open to growth, and we don't have time for people who aren't.

- Willing to build your technical knowledge. You won't have experience with cases like ours in standard practice. This doesn’t scare you, it lights the fire within and offers the individualised care model you’re most at home with.

- Mature enough to command a room, calm a difficult situation, and pull a team together without needing to be told or shown how.

What you get.

- $80,000 - $85,000 plus Super, plus a genuine bonus structure. Individual and team based, tied to real, tracked actions and results. Super is paid on the bonuses too. If you hit the numbers, you get paid. No fine print.

- Weekdays only. No weekend roster.

- Real input into how the floor runs and how the high end retail environment is staged. Not a script to follow.
