Mater is seeking a skilled Deployment Technician for a 10-month fixed-term contract to support a large-scale Windows 11 upgrade, device replacement, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) rollout across our hospitals and operational sites. In this key project role, you will work closely with end users, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver device deployments, manage user onboarding, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide onsite post-deployment support—ensuring a smooth transition and positive user experience throughout the program until its completion in FY27.
Salary range: $62.74 - $67.20 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

Your contribution will include supporting user onboarding, troubleshooting, documentation and continuously identifying opportunities to improve deployment processes and user experience (UX).
What you can expect:
- Supporting Windows 11 upgrades, device replacements, VDI migrations, and endpoint deployments across Mater locations.

- Providing onsite, face-to-face support during deployment, migration, and hypercare phases to minimise disruption.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, OS, connectivity, and user profile issues, escalating complex cases as needed.
- Validating successful upgrades and migrations by confirming device functionality and user access to critical applications and systems.
- Participating in deployment testing,
user acceptance testing (UAT), and business application validation activities.
- Maintaining accurate records of deployment activities, asset information, and incident resolutions.
- Assisting with device lifecycle management, including hardware audits, inventory control, and device collection or disposal.
About you
- Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Advanced ITIL certifications desired
- Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified Skilled are expected
- Minimum 5 years relevant IT experience is mandatory
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, ControlUp or similar endpoint deployment and device management technologies.
