Position Overview
Marathon is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead on-site construction activities and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality.

This role is responsible for coordinating site trades, supervising daily works, and ensuring the smooth integration of modular buildings with site-based construction activities. The Site Foreman plays a critical role in maintaining program timelines, safety compliance, and workmanship standards.

The position suits a strong leader with solid carpentry or construction supervision experience who enjoys managing teams, coordinating trades, and delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Supervision
Supervise and coordinate daily site activities across trades and subcontractors.

Ensure works are completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications,



and quality standards.

Manage installation and integration of modular buildings with site works.

Coordinate site sequencing to ensure efficient project progress.

Monitor daily productivity and assist in meeting program milestones.

Site Coordination
Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and labour requirements.

Manage site logistics including access, storage, and site setup.

Support the resolution of on-site issues to maintain project progress.

Quality Control
Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality expectations.

Identify and address defects or workmanship issues early.

Maintain high standards of finish and ensure projects meet client expectations.

Safety & Compliance
Lead and maintain a strong safety culture on site.

Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, secure work methods, and site procedures.

Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Monitor site hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.

Team Leadership
Provide direction and support to site teams and subcontractors.

Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.

Foster a professional, respectful, and productive site culture.

Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve site processes, sequencing,



and productivity.

Support the successful integration of modular construction methods on projects.

Skills and Experience

Essential
Proven experience in a Site Foreman or leading hand role within commercial construction.

Trade background in carpentry or building.

Strong ability to coordinate trades and manage site teams.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Commitment to safety, quality, and project delivery.

Desirable
Experience working on education, childcare, health, or commercial projects.

Experience with modular or prefabricated construction.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Familiarity with construction management systems such as Procore.

Current White Card and relevant construction certifications.
