About the role:

Reporting to the Business Manager, the VPSG4 Project Officer supports the effective delivery and continuous improvement of Victoria Police's User Pays services. The position coordinates policy, project, governance and stakeholder activities and provides informed advice to the User Pays team, internal stakeholders and frontline police.

The role will contribute to the implementation of the Event Management System and support updates to User Pays policies, procedures and guidance materials.

Your duties will include:

- Manage the User Pays team which consists of two VPSG-3 employees.
- Coordinate User Pays projects, activities and business improvement initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of internal User Pays policies, procedures and service standards.
- Research and analyse operational and policy issues and prepare informed advice and recommendations.
- Respond to complex enquiries and escalate significant issues where appropriate.
- Support change activities associated with the Event Management System and changes to legislation and internal policy.
- Develop and maintain User Pays guidance materials, including user guides and frequently asked questions.
- Liaise with relevant areas to support updates to the User Pays Victoria Police Manual.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and participate in relevant working groups.
- Maintain project governance records and prepare timely progress reports, briefs and correspondence.

About You:

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

- Demonstrated project coordination, research and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within required timeframes.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing clear and concise briefs, reports, correspondence and guidance materials.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyse information and contribute to practical solutions.




- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting policy development, business improvement or organisational change in a complex environment.
- A professional and adaptable approach, including the ability to manage sensitive information appropriately.

Further Information:

- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.

- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
