We are a growing timber staircase manufacturing business with a team of 12 carpenters, and we are now expanding into metal staircase manufacturing.

We are looking for an experienced Welder / Metal Staircase Team Leader to join us and take ownership of building our recent metal staircase division from the ground up.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has strong experience in metal staircases and wants to take on a leadership role, build a team, and play a key part in growing a new area of the business.

About the Role

You will be responsible for helping establish and lead our metal staircase operations, including:

- Manufacturing and welding metal staircases and components

- Working from drawings and specifications

- Setting up processes and systems for the new metal division

- Leading and training a growing team

- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship

- Managing workflow and helping meet production deadlines

- Working closely with management and our existing carpentry team

- Helping grow the metal staircase side of the business as it expands

About You

We are looking for someone who:





- Has proven experience manufacturing and welding metal staircases

- Is highly skilled in MIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication

- Can read and interpret drawings

- Has experience leading, supervising or mentoring a team

- Takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail

- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently

- Has the initiative to help build a current division from the ground up

- Is looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing company

What We Offer

- $90,000–$120,000 + super, depending on experience
