Stawell Gold Mine is an underground gold mine located in Stawell, 236 km north-west of Melbourne. This historic region is known for its rich heritage in the exploration, discovery and production of gold.

We currently have an opening for Processing Plant Operator.

About the role:

Reporting to the Mill Superintendent, you will safely operate and monitor our processing plant to optimise production, recovery and costs. Working 12-hour shifts, you’ll record plant performance, support operational and maintenance activities, and contribute to a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key responsibilities:

- Providing leadership in relation to health, safety and environmental management
- Reagent Mixing
- Operation of Primary Crusher
- Leaching Section Operation
- Loader Operation




- Milling Section Operation
- Elution Section Operation

The successful candidate should possess the following skills, knowledge, experience, training and qualifications:

- Positive communication skills, both oral and written is a requirement
- A high regard for safety is a requirement
- Current Victorian Heavy Rigid Driver’s License is desirable
- Forklift license is desirable
- Loader Operation
- First aid certificate is desirable
- The ability to work as a team member
