About the role

Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, you will have a broad and highly commercial in-house legal role, supporting Crossfield Energy across its operations, projects and corporate activities. This is an opportunity for a lawyer who wants to move beyond simply providing legal advice and become a trusted commercial adviser to the executive team and operational leaders.

Key responsibilities

- Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to the business and senior management.

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.

- Advising on resources and mining-related matters, projects and operational activities.

- Supporting procurement, contracting and major commercial transactions.

- Advising on employment and workplace relations matters.

- Assisting with corporate, governance and regulatory matters.

- Identifying and managing legal and commercial risk.

- Working closely with external legal advisers where specialist advice is required.

- Developing and improving legal processes,



precedents and contract management practices.

- Partnering with operational and commercial teams to support the achievement of business objectives.

About you

- Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience (PAE).

- Experience working in the resources, mining, energy or related sector highly regarded.

- Strong commercial contracting and negotiation experience.

- The ability to provide practical legal advice with a clear understanding of commercial objectives.

- Robust drafting and analytical skills.

- Experience dealing directly with senior executives and business stakeholders.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.

- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to legal and commercial issues.
