Business Development Executive | Environmental Solutions

Perth WA | $80K + $20K Car Allowance + Super + Uncapped Commission

Looking for a genuine new-business hunter who enjoys getting out from behind the desk, meeting customers and building a territory from scratch.

Our client is an established Australian environmental solutions business supporting organizations across manufacturing, waste and recycling, logistics, transport, construction and mining.

They’re now looking for a Business Development Executive to grow their presence across Perth and the wider WA market.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where approximately 90% of your focus will be new business development. You’ll spend a large part of your week out on the road, visiting industrial sites, identifying decision-makers, opening recent conversations and building long-term customer relationships.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

- Prospecting and generating new business across Perth
- Cold calling and door knocking prospective customers
- Visiting industrial sites and building face-to-face relationships
- Identifying key decision-makers across HSE, environmental, facilities, operations and maintenance
- Introducing customers to environmental products, spill-response services, ongoing servicing and training
- Conducting consultative conversations around site compliance and environmental risk
- Preparing proposals and following opportunities through to close
- Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
- Updating all activity and opportunities within the CRM
- Growing existing customer relationships where appropriate
- Eventually developing opportunities across wider WA mining regions

The primary goal is to bring new customers onto an ongoing environmental service program.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has actually done the hard yards in business development.

You’ll ideally have:





- 1–2+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
- Proven cold calling and outbound prospecting experience
- Confidence walking into businesses and starting conversations
- A genuine hunter mentality
- Strong resilience and follow-up skills
- Good CRM and pipeline management discipline
- Confidence dealing with operational and technical decision-makers
- A consultative, relationship-driven approach to sales

Experience within waste and recycling, safety/PPE, logistics, transport, environmental services, manufacturing, industrial services or equipment would be highly regarded.

However, industry experience isn’t essential if you can demonstrate strong outbound sales ability, drive and a willingness to learn. The client has specifically found that candidates from industries such as waste, logistics and safety can transition well into the role.
