The Position:

We require the services of an experienced, motivated skilled Refrigeration & Mechanical Services Installer to join our team in Mackay. This role is installation focused.

Qualifications for this role will vary. Your trade back ground may cover qualifications in Plumbing; Mechanical Plumbing; Sheetmetal & Duct installation; Cert 2 in Split Installation are some examples, or, you may be a journeyman with extensive experience in Mechanical Services Installation. If you have these qualifications or the relevant experience, then we would like to hear from you.

We carry out a range of installation work across the HVAC Industry in the Mackay area for a range of Local & National clients. Most of our work is for existing customers with very limited exposure to wet cement construction projects.

Job Description: You will perform a variety of Installation tasks on a range of equipment from the residential, commercial & industrial sectors. The role is primarily in the field, installing equipment, duct- both flex & metal , pipework, flashings, split systems -all types, whatever is part of that particular installation within the Mackay area.

You will work both as part of a team and sometimes you will be working unsupervised. Installations are planned through the Operations manager & the Service Coordinator. We have a team approach to solving problems & working together for the best outcome for the client. You will be required to work within the safe systems of work provided to complete the tasks.

Previous Experience: Experience or a qualification in one or more of the following would be advantageous :

- Refrigeration Equipment- Cool/Freezer Rooms: Erecting Coolroom Panelling; Running refrigerated pipe work to suite & Installing the Refrigeration Plant

- Air conditioning- Split Installation - Formal Cert 2 Qualification in Split Aircon Installation.

- Duct Installer/Sheetmetal worker- Experienced installer of Mechanical & flexible duct work for both commercial & residential application

- Plumber/Mechanical Plumber( or experienced labourer) who can install duct, complete general flashing of duct penetrations & general roofing work

- Journeyman who is not necessarily trade qualified but has many years experience in HVAC Installation

To fill this role we would prefer a minimum of 2 yrs experience.

- Qld Open Manual drivers Licence

- Qld Construction White card

Additional Skills/Qualifications that will be highly regarded:

- Trade Certificate in MEM, UEE, Plumbing preferable, but not essential. Experience is what counts in this role.

- Current Arctic Refrigerant Handling Licence ( Preferable but not essential)

- Working at Heights & EWP Certificate
