About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team, specialising in automotive electrical systems, vehicle integration and custom truck solutions.

You’ll work across a variety of vehicle modification and new-build projects, designing, developing and improving electrical systems and products for light trucks, government vehicles and commercial fleets.

This hands-on position gives you the opportunity to follow your designs from initial concept through to installation and finished vehicle,



working closely with our engineering, auto electrical, fabrication and workshop teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive electrical systems, wiring harnesses and vehicle electrical accessories.

- Design and document electrical systems for custom truck builds and vehicle modifications.

- Develop wiring diagrams, schematics, circuit designs and electrical drawings.

- Design and improve plug-and-play wiring harnesses and electrical components.

- Select appropriate electrical components, protection devices, connectors, relays, switches and control systems.

- Ensure electrical designs meet relevant ADR, Australian Standards, OEM and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with auto electricians, engineers, fabricators and workshop teams to develop practical and manufacturable solutions.

- Assist with vehicle electrical integration, troubleshooting and commissioning.

- Modify and update designs based on client requirements, vehicle specifications and workshop feedback.

- Manage technical documentation, BOMs, specifications and revision control.

- Conduct electrical calculations and testing to validate designs and system performance.

- Assist the sales team with quotations, costings and technical input.





- Support the development and continuous improvement of Strike’s electrical product range.

- Provide engineering support during new builds, refurbishments and repairs.

- Maintain adherence to engineering best practices, safety standards and internal procedures.

What We’re Looking For

- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

- Experience with automotive electrical systems is highly regarded.

- Familiarity with relevant Australian automotive standards, ADR requirements and vehicle electrical systems is desirable.

- Experience with CAD software; SolidWorks experience is advantageous.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work closely with workshop and installation teams.

- Strong desire to invent, test, troubleshoot and optimise is highly regarded.

- Self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Previous experience in automotive, heavy vehicle, transport or vehicle modification industries is desirable but not essential.
