Processing Shutdown Planner

Roster: FIFO from Perth 4/3 Roster
Assignment: 6 months with strong potential to extend

PERSOL is currently seeking an experienced Processing Shutdown Planner to join our client, a large global mining and green energy company.
This opportunity will suit a highly experienced Planner who is confident working autonomously, highly proficient in SAP and capable of taking raw maintenance data and turning it into structured, executable shutdown work packages.

The Role

The Processing Shutdown Planner will review maintenance data within SAP to determine online and offline maintenance requirements and package these into modular shutdown activities.
You will review existing maintenance strategies to assess their suitability and viability, identify potential gaps and review IOM Maintenance Guidelines to ensure relevant maintenance requirements have been captured.
The role will also involve working closely with vendors and internal Planning, Engineering and Maintenance teams to establish maintenance requirements, resources and estimated costs.

Key Responsibilities

- Review raw maintenance data within SAP and determine online and offline maintenance requirements
- Develop modular shutdown activities incorporating required resources, parts and specialist equipment
- Review existing maintenance strategies to determine suitability and viability
- Identify potential gaps within existing maintenance strategies
- Review IOM Maintenance Guidelines to ensure relevant maintenance activities have been captured
- Engage and liaise with vendors to determine annual maintenance requirements for package units
- Work with vendors to establish resourcing requirements and estimated pricing
- Develop standardised Gantt charts for modular shutdown activities




- Create consistent shutdown planning structures that can be used across future campaigns where possible
- Work closely with the weekly Planning, Engineering and Maintenance teams
- Ensure shutdown activities are appropriately scoped and prepared for execution

About You

- Previous experience as a Processing Shutdown Planner
- Strong shutdown and maintenance planning experience
- Highly proficient in SAP
- Demonstrated ability to develop detailed shutdown work packages
- Experience reviewing and assessing maintenance strategies
- Ability to interpret and work from maintenance guidelines and technical information
- Experience coordinating resources, parts and specialist equipment for shutdown activities
- Strong vendor engagement and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to develop and maintain Gantt charts for shutdown planning
- Highly autonomous and self-motivated with the ability to identify gaps and progress work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Planning, Engineering and Maintenance teams
