What's the role about?

Based in our Hawthorn East office, the Capability Partner develops and delivers the Australia and NZ capability strategy, translating business priorities into a focused 12-month portfolio of capability initiatives that support organisational performance, growth and risk management.

The role partners with leaders to diagnose business and performance needs, challenge assumptions that training is always the answer, and design practical capability solutions that strengthen leadership, manager effectiveness, AI and digital adoption, change capability, and commercial performance.

The role also supports the localisation, adoption and embedding of Global Enterprise Talent initiatives across AUS & NZ, ensuring global frameworks are translated into practical actions that strengthen leadership, talent and organisational capability.

In addition, the successful candidate will:

- Partner with leaders and the People Organisation team to diagnose capability challenges,



shape strategic capability plans and prioritise investment across key business needs.

- Design and deliver leadership and people manager development initiatives that strengthen coaching, performance management, decision-making, accountability and collaboration.

- Drive AI and digital capability by building confidence, accelerating responsible adoption and enabling teams to translate emerging technologies into practical business outcomes.

- Create engaging, blended learning experiences using facilitation, coaching, peer learning, digital resources and workplace application to support lasting behaviour change.

- Facilitate high-impact workshops, leadership forums and development programs, influencing stakeholders at all levels including senior leaders.

- Establish success measures and evaluate learning effectiveness, ensuring capability initiatives deliver measurable behavioural and business outcomes.

- Partner with Compliance team to design, deliver and continuously improve mandatory and regulatory learning programs.

What You'll Bring

- 5-8 years' experience in capability, learning and development, leadership development, organisational development or a related field.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Learning & Development, Psychology, Education, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent skilled experience.

- Proven experience developing capability strategies and translating business priorities into actionable capability roadmaps and annual plans.

- Strong capability to partner with leaders and subject matter experts to diagnose business challenges and design targeted development solutions.

- Demonstrated success delivering blended learning experiences, combining facilitation, coaching, peer learning, workplace application and digital learning approaches.

- Experience measuring and evaluating capability initiatives,



using data and insights to demonstrate impact and inform recommendations.

- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge thinking and provide evidence-based advice to senior leaders.

- Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

- Sound understanding of adult learning principles, behaviour change and leadership development practices.

- Curious, adaptable and willing to test, learn from and improve new approaches to capability development.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance competing priorities and translate complex business needs into practical capability solutions.

- Practical understanding of AI and digital tools, including their responsible use and application within workforce capability programs.

- Highly organised, commercially minded and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
