This role sits within the Community Safety and Wellbeing program in Kalkarindji.

As a Night Patrol Officer, you will enjoy rewarding, community-focused work where no two shifts are the same. You will be part of a team committed to supporting vulnerable people, reducing community safety risks,

What your day will look like, but are not limited to:
- Conducting regular night patrols throughout the community.
- Supporting children and young people by helping ensure they are in safe environments at night.
- Assisting vulnerable community members by providing transport to safe locations when appropriate.
- Partner with local services including schools, health clinics, safe houses, shelters, and community organisations.
- Record and report incidents accurately to support service delivery and community safety outcomes.
- Promote awareness of the Night Patrol program and encourage community participation
The Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a compassionate, community-minded professional who is passionate about improving safety and wellbeing outcomes for vulnerable people. You thrive in dynamic environments, remain calm under pressure, and have the confidence to build positive relationships with community members, families, service providers, and stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, practical, and respectful approach to challenging situations
- An understanding of local community needs and cultural considerations
- Sound judgement, integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality
- A genuine passion for community safety and wellbeing
Other Requirements
- Criminal History Check (recent, within 3 months).
- A current Working with Children’s Card (Ochre Card).
- A current unrestricted Drivers Licence.
