KChem, an importer and distributor of chemicals for the Australian and New Zealand markets, has an excellent opportunity for a Coatings & Chemicals Account Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for the growth of sales and profitability within an assigned customer group, identifying new opportunities for business growth, and building and maintaining key relationships with our global suppliers.

You may have prior experience in internal sales and be looking to grow your career.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain and grow an established portfolio of customers, delivering sales margins and targets.

· Identify and secure new business opportunities with a focus on expanding market share and introducing new product lines.

· Develop and execute account plans for key customers including targeted growth strategies and cross-selling opportunities.

· Promote and support the introduction of new products through customer engagement, technical discussions and tailored solutions.

· Provide market insights and contribute to marketing initiatives.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer activity, pipeline and forecasting in the CRM system.

· Plan and execute regular customer call cycles, including site visits and relationship management activities.

· Build and maintain robust relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.





· Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities.

· Contribute to the development of annual sales budgets and strategies.

Key Requirements

· A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business or a related discipline is preferred.

· Equivalent industry experience within industrial coatings, chemicals or a technical sales environment will also be considered.

· Willingness to generate new business opportunities and grow existing accounts.

· An ability to understand and communicate technical product information and provide practical solutions to customers.

· Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills.

· Self-motivated and results-driven with strong time management and organisational skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong Excel skills.

· Full, clean driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
