ABOUT THE ROLE

The Permit Isolation Officer ensures safe fixed plant isolations and oversees the permit-to-work system, managing permit issuance, monitoring, and closure. The role involves clear communication, accurate documentation, and strict compliance with safety procedures. Key responsibilities include hazard identification, risk management, and ensuring a safe work environment. This position suits those with isolation experience, a robust safety focus, and excellent teamwork skills.

KEY DUTIES

- Isolation of various areas of the fixed plant.

- Issuing of permit to work certificates and associated high-risk permits.

- Gas testing of confined spaces

- Evaluation of JHA’s or other forms of risk assessment.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

- Confined space entry ticket

- Gas testing ticket.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- 15+ years of experience work in mining industry.

- Sound knowledge of isolation procedures





- Knowledge and understanding of permit to work systems.

- Evaluation of JHA’s or other forms of risk assessment.

- Gas testing of confined spaces.

- Ability to develop isolation sheets

- Able to read and interpret P&ID;’S
