Johns Electrical is looking for a Solar Installer, Trade Assistant or Roofer to join our growing team.
We are seeking someone with practical trade experience, a strong work ethic and an interest in the renewable energy industry. This is a hands-on role working alongside qualified electricians on residential and commercial solar, battery and electrical projects across Adelaide.
Whether you already have solar installation experience or are an experienced tradesperson looking to move into the renewable energy industry, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist qualified electricians with the installation of solar panels, battery systems, inverters and EV chargers
- Assist with roof preparation, panel installation and associated solar works
- Carry out general trade assistance, labouring and material handling
- Prepare and maintain work areas and ensure sites are left clean and tidy
- Safely use and maintain tools, equipment and vehicles
- Follow all company and site safety procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects to a high standard
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous trade, construction, roofing or solar experience
- Has a genuine interest in renewable energy
- Has robust practical and problem-solving skills
- Takes pride in their workmanship and pays attention to detail
- Has a strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Has good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Is physically capable of working on roofs and performing manual tasks
- Is willing to learn and develop their skills within the industry
- Holds a full Australian driver’s licence
- Has reliable transport
- Holds a White Card
- Has a Working at Heights qualification or is willing to obtain one
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.
