Extremely busy Medical Centre is looking for a friendly and experienced Medical Receptionist on a casual basis that MUST BE AVAILABLE to work a rotating roster of mornings, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts.

You will be required to work a minimum of 2 days per week with the availability to increase hours as needed and to cover annual leave and sick leave at short notice.

This is a very busy and challenging role which involves working in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to tend to patient needs, answer a continuous high volume of phone calls, liaise with Doctors and handle any requests that may arise.

This is the perfect prospect for applicants who are able to manage ongoing multiple tasks with confidence, ease and accuracy. A high attention to detail is a must!

Key responsibilities include;

- Meet and greet patients into the clinic

- Answer high volume of incoming calls

- Processing incoming and outgoing mail and emails

- Processing and batching Medicare and DVA claims

- Invoicing and receipting to patients and third parties

- Scheduling appointments and relevant follow up





- Triaging patients and monitoring waiting room

- General administrative support for Doctors and Nurses

- Assist your Practice Manager with Ad-hoc duties

Skills and experience

Experience and Attributes;

- Medical Reception experience is required, however, we are willing to train the suitable candidate

- Knowledge of Medical Director and PracSoft software is highly regarded

- Be dependable, reliable, and have a strong work ethic

- Have high attention to detail and accuracy

- Professional & personable telephone manner

- Strong written & verbal communication

- Able to work independently and show initiative

- Work productively within a team

- Strong administration experience

- Exceptional customer service skills

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
