Nursing Unit Manager (12-month contract)

We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Nursing Unit Manager to lead our dedicated radiation oncology nursing team.

About the Role
This pivotal leadership position at our Maitland centre will see you championing excellence in clinical care while fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Reporting to our experienced on-site Site Manager, you will lead by example, ensuring outstanding patient care, staff development, and continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strong clinical leadership and support nurses across radiation oncology.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and collaboration.
- Ensure the highest standard of patient care, focusing on safety, quality, and patient experience.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, training, and staff development, empowering your team to thrive.

About You
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Nursing Unit Manager who is passionate about patient care and team development. You’ll thrive in a leadership role,



supporting your team to grow and succeed.

Skills & Experience:

- AHPRA-registered Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience, extensive oncology nursing experience preferred.
- Relevant post-graduate qualification (or working towards one), such as a management qualification.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a nursing team, with a focus on professional growth and service excellence.
- Experience in healthcare business operations, including financial and resource management (preferred).
