$145,605 - $160,719 package includes base salary ($128,284 - $141,600) per annum plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

Working in a dynamic project environment the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for consulting with business stakeholders to identify business and project requirements, document business processes and analyse gaps to enable the development of strategies to support the strategic and operational goals of business owners.

Working with educators, project managers, technical specialists, ICT teams and vendors, you will capture use cases and translate operational needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.

You will conduct research, assess emerging technologies and turnkey solutions, investigate software and system needs, support procurement, project planning, and coordinate implementation activities. You will undertake initial hardware configuration and user acceptance testing, monitor project deliverable progress and escalat[e] risks, issues and dependencies to ensure solutions are delivered successfully.

We currently have two temporary full time Senior Business Analyst opportunities, with Sydney as the preferred location. Successful candidates will be required to travel monthly to our Wollongong, Tighes Hill, Wetherill Park and Kingswood campus locations, in line with business requirements.

About You

You are a proactive and solutions-focused business analyst with experience in research, evaluation and implementation of ICT systems and hardware solutions.



You are a hands-on individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You can understand operational use cases, assess solution feasibility and translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.

You are confident engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including educators, subject matter experts, project managers, technical teams and vendors. Your communication and facilitation skills enable you to gather requirements, coordinate implementation and testing activities, and work collaboratively to resolve technical and operational issues.

You will bring an understanding of project delivery methodologies and experience in technology implementation, including market research, procurement support, solution configuration, testing and user acceptance.

You are highly self-motivated, organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems as they arise. You maintain detailed and accurate project documentation, monitor progress, and proactively communicate status, risks, issues, blockers and dependencies to the Project Manager and wider project team. You work transparently and collaboratively, raise concerns early, present practical options and recommendations, and keep customer and operational outcomes at the center of decision‑making.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated capability to map process models and knowledge of process modelling notation standards and platforms with a demonstrated understanding of the relationship between strategy and operational process enablement.

Highly Regarded:

- Experience supporting varying ICT projects and complex solutions
- Experience in deployment, management and testing of end user computer hardware and software.
- High level of demonstrated autonomy and self-motivation.
- Prince2 Training or Qualification.
- Conducting government procurement activities.
