Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished hospitality leader with a minimum of 5 years' experience, including significant time in a comparable premium dining venue, to support the leadership of our front-of-house team and help maintain the exceptional standards for which Elwood Bathers is known. Working closely with senior management, you'll lead from the floor and drive the day-to-day success of our restaurant, bar and events operations.

The Role

n

Lead and supervise the team across restaurant and bar service, supporting daily shift management, decision-making, staff support and planning

n

Welcome guests and deliver warm, personalised service that reflects the Elwood Bathers brand

n

Resolve guest feedback and complaints with patience and care, turning dissatisfied guests into loyal regulars, and escalating to the General Manager or Executive Chef as needed

n

Train and develop team members through orientations, ongoing coaching and clear performance expectations, including upselling, recommendations and food and beverage pairing

n

Assist with rosters and maintain an accurate, up-to-date staffing plan

n

Ensure the team is across menu changes, kitchen and bar specials, and local events for informed, tailored recommendations

n

Manage reservations,



calls and emails professionally, swiftly and effectively

n

Oversee correct cash handling and payment procedures, and complete administration accurately and on time

n

Maintain a clean, safe, well-presented venue and a safe working environment

n

Work with the Executive Chef and Events Manager to execute functions, promotions and signature events

n

About you

n

Minimum 5 years' hospitality experience, with proven experience in a similar premium/destination dining space

n

Experience leading or supporting the leadership of a service team

n

A genuine people leader who guides, teaches, gives clear, direct feedback and sets the example by living our values

n

Calm under pressure, with the discretion, tact and empathy to handle busy service with composure

n

Polished personal presentation and qualified, effective communication with guests, colleagues and external parties

n

Proactive, detail-oriented, and acts with integrity, keeping the interests of the brand, business and guests at heart

n

Strong food and beverage knowledge;

n

POS and back-office systems experience beneficial

n

Current RSA required; First Aid Certificate highly regarded
