Job Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Technical Officer to support our Technical and Product Development team. This role is flexible and could be either part-time or full time depending on your experience and skill set. It is ideal for someone with strong CAD skills, a mechanical aptitude, and a passion for engineering documentation and product development. The successful applicant will assist with the preparation of technical documentation, engineering drawings, and research and development activities that support the ongoing growth of our product range.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Autodesk software.
- Assist with component design, product development, and technical research.
- Support new product development projects and contribute to achieving project deliverables.
- Assist with the preparation of technical documentation and records.
- Ensure technical documentation complies with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate engineering records, drawings, and revision control.
- Provide general administrative support to the Technical Department as required.
About You
While previous fire suppression industry experience is not essential, you will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and experience working with CAD software. You should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience in Engineering, Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- Experience using CAD and 3D modelling software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong document control and data management skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
