About the role
This role can be based in Ringwood or Melbourne CBD
The Senior Specialist IT Contracts manages a portfolio of strategic IT contracts within Enterprise Technology, ensuring compliance with procurement and contract management frameworks. The role focuses on strong contract administration and vendor management to maximise the value of IT investments, manage risks and maintain service performance.
The role builds strong relationships with business stakeholders and suppliers, provides specialist advice on contracts, service levels, security, pricing and risks, and negotiates to achieve value for money. It also resolves complex issues, improves contract management practices, maintains performance reporting and provides leadership while promoting safe, inclusive and flexible team environments.
What we're looking for (Selection Criteria)
You're someone who:
- Demonstrates strong commercial and contract management capability: Manages supplier relationships, costs, risks and performance to maximise contract value and service outcomes.
- Focuses on customers and outcomes: Understands customer needs and context, manages service delivery risks and ensures effective outcomes.
- Drives continuous improvement and innovation: Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and quality, encourages ideas and uses feedback to strengthen outcomes.
- Communicates and leads through change: Communicates clearly and confidently, handles sensitive issues effectively and supports others through change.
- Works collaboratively: Builds supportive relationships, shares information across teams and contributes to a cooperative and high-performing environment.
Qualifications and experience
You'll bring:
- Extensive experience managing complex commercial contracts, with a strong understanding of contract management and assurance principles (mandatory).
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products (mandatory), with a tertiary qualification in law, business, IT, economics, contract management or a related field (desirable).
- Knowledge of the public transport environment and the IT industry,
including products and services supporting medium to large organisations (desirable).
