Job Brief

We are seeking two (5) reliable and experienced Poultry Farm Workers to join our operations in Brisbane. This position is specifically for individuals with hands-on experience operating and maintaining Big Dutchman poultry systems. This is an ongoing, 6-month casual contract offering a competitive hourly rate and a steady workflow.

Position Details

- ? Pay Rate: $33.00 – $35.00 per hour

- ? Start Date: Ongoing / Immediate

Key Responsibilities

- System Operation: Operate and monitor automated Big Dutchman poultry systems including feeding, drinking, climate control, and egg collection machinery.

- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and routine maintenance to keep production systems running efficiently.

- Shed Management:



Work independently within poultry shed environments, managing conditions despite heat, dust, and operational noise.

- Biosecurity & Hygiene: Maintain a strict awareness of farm hygiene protocols, biosecurity standards, and secure work practices to protect livestock health.

- Manual Labour: Complete physically demanding manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and repetitive farm duties.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Proven, hands-on experience specifically working with Big Dutchman poultry systems.

- Basic mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting automated farm machinery.

- Strong physical stamina to handle manual labour and uncomfortable environment variables (heat, dust).

- Deep understanding of animal welfare, farm biosecurity, and general workplace health and safety.

- Must currently reside in the Brisbane area with reliable transport.

- Full working rights in Australia (Sponsorship is not provided).
