The pay-rate for the role will range from $39.52-$40.31/hr depending on your experience.
About the role:
We are seeking full - time passionate and skilled Allied Health Assistant to join our Eight Mile Plains team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients. The overall purpose of the Allied Health Assistant is to undertake a variety of clinical support tasks to assist the allied health staff to provide high standards of client/resident services.
The Allied Health Assistant will support allied health staff to deliver allied health programs and services to client/residents in a community based or residential setting. The range of tasks incorporated in this role will be multi-disciplinary in nature and will assist to provide effective and efficient clinical care. It may include but not be limited to in-home or residential aged care based therapy programs, Instrumental Activity of Daily Living (IADL) retraining and Personal Activity of Daily Living (PADL) retraining, mobilisation, community integration, assisting with group activity and other specific technical duties.
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability in the area of community or residential aged care based services
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff,
client/residents, their families and carers, and people from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise individual work commitments, and to plan, coordinate and complete tasks in an effective and timely manner
- Ability to work with a high level of independence with a good understanding of own scope of practice
- Demonstrated commitment to relevant skill development and service improvement activities
- Entry level computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (desirable)
Role Requirements:
- Valid Aged Care Worker Screening Check:
o Current National Police Check OR o Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
NB: NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is mandatory for Services/Facilities delivering services to NDIS clients.
o Statutory Declaration if you have been a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than Australia after turning 16.
- Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle (Community only)
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
